Cannons Coach Returns

by Daniel Tight
Director & Senior Coach

CANNONS COACH RETURNS FROM ALLOWAY FC

I travelled with my wife. I l spent the majority of my time in Australia Coaching at Alloway FC and working on an avocado farm. We also travelled around exploring Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

I'm really looking forward to getting back into the schools and nurseries...expanding Cannons 2006 Limited activities in additional schools and establishing new local leagues and competitions.

Enthusing children to enjoy their PE and sport, and helping teachers to develop their skills by working with them to deliver enjoyable PE and Sport sessions.

Im also looking back to picking up where I left off with Cannons Basketball Club. Helping our fantastic coaches to develop our youth teams and our players, and playing for our senior team!

Additional:

Hi Matt,

I have just uploaded a new Press Release to the Cannons 2006 website (usual place). It’s one of those stories that is BIG NEWS for us, but is currently a bit boring in copy so I’d like you to jazz it up a little please.

Daniel engages particularly well with very young children so we expect membership and retention to increase once again in the 3 – 5 year old Pay&Play Basketball Club, which is held on Thursdays at CCHS PE Department between 4.00 and 4.40PM. The current Under 11’s and Under 14’s Team are also particularly excited about Daniel’s return because they joined as the youngsters when Cannons started back in 2006.

As a business we are also excited because Daniel’s other area of expertise is meeting Head Teachers and introducing Cannons 2006 to new schools.

Kind Regards,

Scott

CANNONS SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP A SUCCESS

Cannons 2006, who provide outstanding PE Lessons to primary schools in Clacton, Harwich and Colchester have branched out into Summer Childcare Clubs for the second year running with more than 60 children of all levels of ability taking part this year.

The 3 day Basketball Camp for ages 7 to 11 was a great successes combining hard work which saw lot of personal development in individual skill level and team play with lots of fun thrown in.

The 2 day Camp for ages 12-16 saw lots of the players build on their fundamentals and start to learn more detailed game situations like team defense and transition offense which was put into practice with lots of competitive matches.

All in all it was a great week for the coaches and players.

"The sessions are timed to run the same as school and with the support of Clacton County High School PE Department we are building up run them consistently through every school holiday". Please see www.Cannons2006.com under "Clubs" for more information.
