CANNONS BLAST TO RECORD WIN
Clacton
Leisure Centre was rocking last Friday night as the Cannons team put on a real
display to record the biggest victory in the club's history (87-33), and the
win was made even sweeter as it came against their local Clacton rivals, The
Centurions.
The
sidelines were packed with at least 50 supporters, and they created great noise
throughout the game. Their team didn't not disappoint them either, as Cannons
put on a real team performance. This game saw each Cannons player register at
least one basket, and many scores were made after some delightful free flowing
passing moves. Players Rhys Tight (17), Riley Taylor (17) and Daniel Tight (14) combined
for 48 of the Cannons 87 points. Although it was a three pointer from Richard
Edwards and a fantastic teardrop runner from Ben Wilkins that really got the
crowd on their feet.
Coach Chris Tight was
over-the-moon with the victory, in particular praising his team's tireless
defensive efforts and outstanding togetherness.
Cannons
are in good form at the moment, winning two of their last three league games
and currently sitting fifth in the Suffolk Senior League Division 2, a mere two
points off of the summit.
Cannons
are next at home on Friday 18th November, 19:40, versus Braintree Blue Devils.
